After all the visitors since Thanksgiving, we were very appy to be spending Christmas and New Year in our own home. On Christmas Day we exchanged gifts. I had been looking for something truly local for Lisa, and I came up with a pendant and earings made from metal covered leaves from a local jeweller in the centre of Dahlonega. A touch of bling!
Lisa surprised me with a pair of tickets for a concert by one of my favourite singer/songwriters, Mary Fahl. We have front row seats in a small venue in Duluth, North Atlanta, in mid-April! We will have to make a night out of it, including staying in a hotel in Duluth.
I have also taken the opportunity to do a bit of updating on this website, as I expect we will get more traffic when the details of what we are up to gets a little more publicity in a home design magazine. More on that soon.
So, all in all, it has been a quiet but enjoyable time here. We didn’t get snowed in, no disasters of any sort, just relaxation. But things should be heating up come the New Year.
