When we decided to build a custom home on the land we had bought near Dahlonega. our initial move was to buy a collection house building magazines. These were very popular at the time (early 2000s) but appear to have fallen out of fashion now. Little did we know that our home would end up featuring in one of those magazines!
We homed in on a particular style, between “American Arts and Crafts” and “Mountain Lodge”. We found a local Georgia architect who had a number of interesting designs, and ended up commissioning him to modify one of his stock plans to our requirements.
